Tri Spirit Team members have been in action at a range of events over the past week.

Christine Costiff was first in the 55-59 female category at the Dambuster Triathlon, completing the course in 2hr 54min 32sec including a blistering 48.24 for the 10k run.

Tara Symonds tackled the Ironman 70.3 Staffordsh­ire, comprising a 1,900m swim, 90k bike ride and 21k run, in 6:31.58.

At the ETU Triathlon European Championsh­ips in Austria, Tri Spirit’s Clare Donovan clocked 26.14 for the swim and 1:35.10 on the bike but a muscle injury forced her to pull out during the run.

Liz King was second in her age group and 12th overall at the Oysterman sprint distance triathlon in Whitstable.

She finished the event in 1:25.34 although club-mate Deb Milton failed to complete the course after taking a Tri Spirit’s Liz King at the Oysterman sprint distance triathlon in Whitstable wrong turn on the bike.

Jacqui Maxted travelled to Ashburnham for the Sussex Sprint Triathlon.

She finished third in her age group – and 10th overall – in a time of 1:47.38.

Amber King and Sarah and Jonathan Leeson completed the Evans Cycles RIDE IT Medway Road Sportive in 3:56.
