Biddenden Squash Club are up to second in the Kent League after recording their first win of the season. They took on Black Lion from Gillingham and the returning Ben Allen got them off to a good start with a dominant 3-0 victory. Mark Butterworth went down 3-1 to a talented Black Lion junior but a fine performance from Tom Swain saw him win 3-0 to restore Biddenden’s overall lead. Pat Burt’s touch and prowess helped him to a crucial victory which settled the match before Biddenden club captain Chris Gorman won a tense fifth set in the final clash to secure an overall 4-1 win.
