Coffee Pot Train pulls into town
A popular piece of artwork has returned to the town centre for the summer.
The Coffee Pot Train is a 3D flower arrangement designed to replicate the first locomotive built at Ashford’s Old Railway Works.
The floral display can now be seen within the raised brick planter by the Vicarage Lane car park entrance.
The Coffee Pot train was built by Locomotive Superintendent, James Cudworth, in 1850 and formed the basis for all future locomotives, some of which are still being used throughout the world today.
The train will remain on display until October.
