Ac­cess and MP mark a mile­stone

The an­nual gen­eral meet­ing of the Ash­ford Ac­cess Group takes place this Satur­day.

It’s no or­di­nary meet­ing as the group is cel­e­brat­ing its 20th birth­day and the pa­tron, Ash­ford MP Damian Green, is cel­e­brat­ing his 20th an­niver­sary of be­com­ing an MP.

Mr Green will be the guest speaker. He will also present a gold award to Broad Oak BMW for their ef­forts to­wards those who were nom­i­nated by the for­mer Ac­cess dis­abil­ity au­dit of­fi­cer, Paul Hardisty, be­fore his death ear­lier in the year.

Over the past year the Ac­cess group work­ing on the town cen­tre toi­let scheme and with Wil­liam Harvey Hos­pi­tal, in­clud­ing the new dis­abled park­ing lay­out, wheel­chair pro­vi­sion and im­proved sig­nage.

Af­ter be­ing in­volved with the Far­row Court de­vel­op­ment in Stan­hope, Ash­ford Ac­cess is now a key con­sul­tee on the pro­posed Danemore de­vel­op­ment near Ten­ter­den.

The meet­ing will take place on Satur­day at the Fur­ley Hall, Ash­ford at 11am. Any­one is wel­come.
