Ash­ford Cineworld is tak­ing part in a project that pro­vides autism-friendly cin­ema screen­ings. Around 250 cin­e­mas across the UK are part­ner­ing up with Dimensions, a sup­port provider for peo­ple with learn­ing dis­abil­i­ties and autism, in or­der to pro­vide an en­vi­ron­ment fit for them to en­joy films. Ad­just­ments in­clude the lights left on low, the vol­ume turned down, no trail­ers and al­low­ing vis­i­tors to move around freely. Cineworld cin­e­mas show their autism­friendly screen­ing on the first Sun­day of ev­ery month; the next show­ing at Ash­ford Cineworld on the Eureka Leisure Park will be Cap­tain Un­der­pants on Sun­day, Au­gust 6 at 11am.
