Drink-driver’s five-year ban
A woman was more than three times over the drinkdrive limit on a motorway slip road. Rachel Fiennes, 58, has now been banned from the road for five years and given a suspended prison sentence. A court heard that Fiennes, of Harnet Street, Sandwich, drove a Mini on the M20 slip road at Junction 9, Ashford, on Thursday, June 8. She gave a breath test of 126 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35. She pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Folkestone magistrates, on Wednesday, June 28, gave her a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for two years. She must also pay £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
