Our TV channel has got Kent covered

A new television channel dedicated exclusively to Kent launched this week

-

KMTV is a unique partnership between the University of Kent and KM Media Group, the publisher of this newspaper.

It is the county’s first dedicated television channel, delivering quality news, sport and entertainment around the clock.

The centrepiece of the schedule is Kent Tonight, an hour-long news programme broadcasting from our state-of-the-art studio at the university’s Medway campus every week day at 5.30pm.

Unlike other regional news shows, Kent Tonight focuses ONLY on what matters to the county – it’s made in Kent for Kent.

You can also watch sister radio station kmfm’s hugely popular Breakfast with Garry and Laura every weekday from 6am as our cameras go behind the scenes in the studio.

Some of KM Media Group’s most well-known journalists are fronting KMTV programmes.

Business editor Chris Price hosts Chris & Co while political editor Paul Francis brings you the best analysis of what is happening both here and in Westminster.

Professor Tim Luckhurst, head of the university’s Centre for Journalism, said: “Kent sport, Kent business and Kent politics have never had such intensive and dedicated coverage.

“The KMTV team, a unique partnership between the University of Kent and KM Media Group, is interested in the stories that matter to you in a way that none of our rivals can be because KMTV covers Kent and nowhere else.”

KM Media Group editorial director Ian Carter said: “We’re delighted to have launched KMTV. The partnership between the university and the KM Group means we can cover the county in a way nobody else can match.”
