-

Members and staff at Bannatyne Health Club in Ashford have helped raise more than £44,000 for a cancer support charity.

Ashford was one of 67 clubs which took part in the company’s fundraising Feel Better Week.

In total, the Bannatyne Group raised £44,632 with a range of fun- draising initiatives including car washes, spinathons, cake sales and hair waxing.

The group has now raised more than £100,000 for the charity Look Good Feel Better, which offers free skincare and make-up workshops to help women and teenagers combat the visible side effects of cancer treatment. Next month, five of the Bannatyne Group’s directors will be completing a sponsored bike ride from Inverness to Eastbourne.
