Health club’s Feel Bet­ter ef­fort

Mem­bers and staff at Ban­natyne Health Club in Ash­ford have helped raise more than £44,000 for a can­cer sup­port char­ity.

Ash­ford was one of 67 clubs which took part in the com­pany’s fundrais­ing Feel Bet­ter Week.

In to­tal, the Ban­natyne Group raised £44,632 with a range of fun- drais­ing ini­tia­tives in­clud­ing car washes, spinathons, cake sales and hair wax­ing.

The group has now raised more than £100,000 for the char­ity Look Good Feel Bet­ter, which of­fers free skin­care and make-up work­shops to help women and teenagers com­bat the vis­i­ble side ef­fects of can­cer treat­ment. Next month, five of the Ban­natyne Group’s direc­tors will be com­plet­ing a spon­sored bike ride from In­ver­ness to East­bourne.
