The World in a Tent day was organised by Equator Festival at North Park in Tannery Lane on Saturday.

It included Indian drumming, African dancing music, tai-chi demonstrations, Latin music and salsa dancing, and Norton Knatchbull School’s guitar band called Los Torros. Guests in the tent enjoyed food from the Indian and Nepalese restaurant India House, while Agha Islam displayed Syrian cuisine.

Visitors were also treated to belly dancing displays and the chance to have a henna tattoo.
