Marcel Somerville visited Cameo on Friday, his first appearance since leaving the ITV2 show.

Musician Marcel, who used to be a member of the band Blazin’ Squad, hosted the event at the nightclub in Station Road.

The TV show, presented by Caroline Flack, sees a group of single people couple up and win the hearts of each other and the public, who ultimately decide who stays in the holiday villa on the island.

Viewers watched a romance blossom between Marcel and personal trainer Gabby Allen.

The couple came fourth in the live final and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend in Marcel’s ‘recoupling’ speech.

But those who missed out have two more chances to see some of the show’s favourites, with finalist Chris Hughes visiting Cameo on Saturday, September 2.

Chris joined the villa in an early series twist, coming third with Olivia Attwood. The couple were known for their bickering.

At the end of September, fans of the show can also see Alex Bowen, who starred in the 2016 series where he met and fell in love with Olivia Buckland. The couple got engaged last year.

Cameo general manager Fred Shingler said: “We’re always looking to bring the biggest names to Ashford and are thrilled that Love Island stars will be in the house!”
