Police think raids could be linked
Police are appealing for information following reports of burglaries in Kennington.
Police are investigating a raid at a property in Muscovy Road, Kennington, which took place overnight between on Friday and Saturday. Car keys were stolen and a short while later a white BMW was also taken.
At about 10pm on Friday, two attempted burglaries were reported at separate properties in Freathy Lane – although nothing was stolen from either. There was also a theft of front and rear registration plates from a vehicle in Hurst Road about the same time.
A police spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing into all four incidents, which we believe could be linked.
“People who saw anything suspicious in the Kennington area overnight between the evening of September 29 and the following morning are asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting ZY/46677/17 or contact Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
