Warn­ing over stolen bows and ar­rows

Kent Po­lice are ap­peal­ing for wit­nesses af­ter a num­ber of bows and ar­rows were stolen.

Equip­ment was taken af­ter a break-in from an archery club in Ware­horne be­tween 10pm and 11pm on Mon­day.

The stolen items in­cluded two gen­er­a­tors, two petrol strim­mers, a quan­tity of ar­rows, a child’s jelly bow, three Sam­ick re­curve bows and a Hoyt com­pound bow.

The ar­rows are de­scribed as a mix of wood and car­bon ar­rows, and are per­son­alised with names on them.

Sgt Ja­son Atkin­son said: “Train­ing is re­quired to be able to use these bows cor­rectly and safely, and they could be po­ten­tially dan­ger­ous if mis­han­dled.”
