Warning over stolen bows and arrows

Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of bows and arrows were stolen.

Equipment was taken after a break-in from an archery club in Warehorne between 10pm and 11pm on Monday.

The stolen items included two generators, two petrol strimmers, a quantity of arrows, a child’s jelly bow, three Samick recurve bows and a Hoyt compound bow.

The arrows are described as a mix of wood and carbon arrows, and are personalis­ed with names on them.

Sgt Jason Atkinson said: “Training is required to be able to use these bows correctly and safely, and they could be potentiall­y dangerous if mishandled.”
