Father Christmas is on his rounds
CHRISTMAS
Father Christmas begins his annual sleigh tour of Ashford tomorrow (Friday).
But before he sets off on his three-weeks of travel he is making a personal appearance at the Stanhope Christmas fair.
That is being held at Stanhope Parish Hall in Otterden Close tomorrow (Friday) from 3pm to 5.30pm. Visitors are welcome to drop in and meet the man in red and see his real reindeers.
Then when the fair ends Santa will get in his sleigh and begin his tour, making his way around the Stanhope ring road, meeting families and hoping those he greets will drop some cash in his charity collection box.
Volunteers from the Ashford Lions Club have arranged for Father Christmas to visit as many housing estates across Ashford as possible in the run up to Christmas day.
He will be visiting the following areas on the following days:
December 5, South Willesborough; December 6, Kennington Lees; December 7, Jemmett Road and Torrington Road; December 10, Tritton Fields; December 11, Washford Farm; December 12, Bybrook; December 13, South of Brookfield Road; December 14, Godinton Park; December 17, Highfield and Twelve Acres; December 18, Quantock Estate; December 19, Orchard Heights; December 20, Park Farm and Bridgefield and December 21, around Hythe Road.
