Brewmaster remain bottom but managed to claim a point from Market Hotel, drawing 2-2 draw with the reigning champions at Hopes Grove.

Goals from Ben Forbes and Charlie Sharpe were enough to earn the High Halden side a share of the points as Market missed out on the chance to move up to second.

The league standings are so tight in the five-team division that Brewmaster would move from bottom to top if they were to win their two games in hand in what is becoming the most open title race in seasons.

Gary Lockyer gave the visitors a lead that they hung on to until the break.

The game completely turned at the start of the second half when the Brews scored twice in quick succession, first through Forbes and then from a Sharpe penalty.

But Market rallied and grabbed an equaliser with Lockyer scoring his second goal. Warren both netted twice for the hosts, meaning the Athletic striking trio have now scored 41 of the team’s 49 goals this season.

Troggs enjoyed decent spells and found the net through George Dyke, Richard Moon and Rob Giles.

Ashford Cavaliers moved back up into the promotion places, winning 5-0 at Appledore, with all of their goals coming in the second half.

Two strikes from Ryan Strand were added to by goals from Steve Ward, Anthony Finch and Jake North.
