Search starts for graduate officers
Kent Police is seeking graduate recruits.
The force is looking for candidates to sign up to its police officer scheme that starts in July.
The intensive two-year programme will give experience in detective work and firearms, covert operations, Special Branch and public protection work. Those enrolling should have a 2.1 undergraduate degree, be 18 years of age or older and have lived in the UK for three years, with a full driving licence.
Candidates must also have not applied and been unsuccessful at joining a police force in the last six months and have no criminal record themselves. Anyone who completes the graduate scheme could be given the opportunity to be fast-tracked to the rank of inspector within two years.
Testing and interviews will take place this spring.
