Attenborough leads the way home

Ashford & District RRC had three members in the Country to Capital 45 mile Ultra at the weekend.
The race began in Wendover, Buckinghamshire, taking in the surrounding countryside then picking up the Grand Union Canal towpath into London, finishing at Little Venice.
Mark Attenborough finished first for the club in 7hr 47min. Edward Rodger ran the 45 miles in 9:16 and Helen Weeden completed the trio’s impressive feat in 10:11.
Becky Hodgson took on the Winter Cakeathon, completing five laps of the Betteshanger Nature Reserve course –16.4 miles in total – in 3:33.40.
Trevor Kay returned to winning ways, finishing first in the Ashford parkrun in 18.54.
Paul Moses completed his 150th parkrun to take third place in 19.37.
Scott Lynch was next home for the club, finishing sixth in 20.21, while Richard Baker crossed the line in seventh, in 20.35.
