South Willesboro­ugh earned a place in the League Cup final at Homelands with a 3-2 victory against Smarden. A determined performanc­e by the hosts in the first half was rewarded with a goal from Ryan Strand who was put through by Ashley Webster.

Smarden got back into the game in the second half with a lob over the keeper but South Willesboro­ugh regained the lead when Strand crossed to the back post for Bradley Godden to head in.

Once again Smarden equalised, but Godden conjured up the winning goal three minutes from time.

After taking on two players he hit an effort that went in off the post. Ben Taylor was man-ofthe-match.

Len Valley made up some ground on Rolvenden Reserves with a 1-0 win against the Division 1 leaders, Jason Parsons scoring the all-important goal.

Rolvenden head the table with 24 points, Len Valley are eight points behind in third but have four games in hand on the leaders. Fox Saturday lie in second spot with 21 points from eight games.

In the other Division 1 game played, Lydd & Marsh won 3-0 at Woodchurch Reserves with goals from Crocker, Robbins and O’Leary. In the Faversham Charity Cup, Charing were beaten 3-2byWingham­inatie that went to extra-time. Strikes from Tom Barnes and Freddie Gill gave Woodchurch a 2-1 victory against Tenterden Reserves in the Premier Division Cup, Group B.
