March Film Night: This month’s film is the classic Hitchcock ‘North by Northwest’ and will be showing on Friday March 29, 7.30pm in the Village Hall. Tickets £5 from the Village Stores or on the door. Doors open at 7pm. Concerts: There are two concerts coming up - Tenterden Singers in Appledore and CARM in Tenterden. Saturday March 23, 7.30 pm in St. Mildred’s Church, Tenterden, the Ashford Invicta Singers will be performing a variety of songs. Tickets £10. Tickets available from CARM on 758122 or on the door.
The Appledore concert is on the following Saturday March 30, at 7.30pm. Appledore Church and the Tenterden Singers will be performing a varied repertoire. Tickets £7.50 available from Fay

MP’s surgery: Coffee morning: at Brabourne Church April 5. Instead there will be a talk at Penstock Barn by Ptolemy Dean entitled ‘From Brabourne to Westminster’, 7.30pm.
Ptolemy is an architect, television presenter and currently the 19th Surveyor of the Fabric of Westminster Abbey. The talk will be an opportunity to hear about Ptolemy’s career path, including his interest in historic preservation and the design of new buildings which are in keeping with their historic setting. In his work at Westminster Abbey Ptolemy has designed the magnificent star-shaped Weston Tower, said to be the most significant addition to the Abbey since 1745.
