Five-goal Burdon leads rout

Luke Burdon hit five goals for Premier Division leaders Bromley Green as they eased into the final regional qualifying round of the Kent Sunday Premier Cup with a 6-2 home victory against Simla.
Three of his goals came inside the opening 15 minutes, as Green progressed to the last 32 of the competition with what turned out to be a comfortable victory against the West Kent Sunday League side.
Kieran Shrimpton completed Green’s tally.
Joining them in the third round are Division 1 side Cheriton, who beat Thanet League Camden Arms 4-2, with goals from Ben Ashton (2), Jack Taylor and Ryan Hall.
Mersham Sports went down 6-1 to Green Lane, Ed Hall netting their goal.
Hythe Royal British Legion won a penalty shootout 4-2 in their Kent Junior Cup match-up against Ramsgate Royals, with the score 1-1 at normal time.
Horsebox Bars are also through to the third round of the competition after a 3-0 win win against Tunbridge Wells side Royal Oak, with goals from Ashley Boyd(2) and Tony Norris.
Stanley Dickson scored what turned out to be a consolation goal for Folkestone United Reserves as they lost 7-1 at home to Monument PFC Reserves from the Herne Bay & Whitstable League.
In the Kent Sunday Junior Trophy, Jordan Horne and Mike Norris both scored twice as South Willesborough cruised into the third round with a 5-0 home victory against Maidstone side Invicta Sunday.
An own goal completed the tally.
Troggs won 5- 2 at AFC Phoenix 5-2 in Aylesford. Sam Lopez and Ben Allen both hit doubles, while Alex Philpott was also on target.
A Luke Goddard goal and an Adam Bellman penalty saw Mersham Sports Reserves to a 2-1 home win over Pilgrims Sunday (Nathan Cook penalty).
Ashford United 3rds lost 2-1 after extra-time to Maidstone International at Homelands, Jordan Price scoring their goal.
Goals from Louis Plumridge helped Brewmaster maintain their 100% winning league start in the Premier Division as they beat Nailbox 2-0.
Sellindge SSC moved top of Division 1, winning 4-1 at home to Charing with strikes from Billy Somerville (2), Tony Dunham and Pete Sikora. Krzysztof Stefankiewicz netted for Charing.
Goals from Dion Orris and Max Sarigul saw Ashford Genclik to a 2-0 win against Aldington.
AFC Guildhall surrendered a two-goal lead to be held 4-4 by Biddenden.
Nathan Sims scored a hattrick for the visitors adding to Jay Critcher’s goal, but they were pegged back by efforts from George Large (2), Morgan Waite and Kieran Funnell.
Tom Wilkes ( 2) helped Ashford Spartans to a 3-1 win at Park Farm Rangers. Ben Deeble-Rogers added Spartans’ third before Joe Ogunbiyi pulled a goal back.
Singleton Barn moved five points clear at the top of the Division 3 with a 6-1 home win against Aldington Reserves, Bradley Freund bagging a hattrick.
Oli Elford scored his first Sunday League goal to help Smeeth & Brabourne to a 4-1 win over Charing Reserves 4- 1. Elford’s strike was accompanied by an own goal and one apiece from Will Stuttle and Tom Keaveney. Clae Marshall replied for Charing.
Bromley Green Reserves won 8-2 at Kingsnorth Pilgrims. Sam Ades netting a hat-trick. Jordan Osbourn and Charlie Wallis weighed in with doubles.
