Parker double earns cup win

Brad Parker scored two goals to help send Lolzors Reserves through to the third round of the Kent Sunday Junior Trophy.

Lolzors returned from their trip to Maidstone League side Coxheath & Farleigh 3-1 winners.

Parker’s brace and a goal from Dan Churchley was enough to cancel out David Duley’s strike and see them through to the next round where they will face local rivals South Willesboro­ugh.

Market Hotel lost 5- 0 at Maidstone League Premier Division leaders Fishermans Arms to bow out of the Kent Sunday Premier Cup in the second round.

Aldington crashed out of the Kent Sunday Junior Cup, losing 2-1 away at East Malling Reserves in their second-round tie.

The Division 1 side had taken the lead when midfielder Stephen Cowell spotted the home keeper off his line and chipped the ball into the net from 20 yards.

In the same competitio­n, Appledore were beaten 4-0 at home by Charcott – Jay Pring netting a hat-trick for the West Kent League side.

Meanwhile, Brewmaster booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Ashford Sunday Charity Trophy with a 5-1 home win against Cheriton.

Louis Plumridge opened the scoring after just two minutes only for Cheriton to level five minutes later through Jack Taylor.

Further goals from Ryan Vaughan, Plumridge, Matt Clarke (2) went unanswered.

Adam Ghidaoui scored three times as Nailbox defeated Lolzors 5-3 to go fourth in the Premier Division standings.

Peter Sawyers and Ben Kesby were also on target for Nailbox, with Conner Freund netting a hat-trick for Lolzors.

Sellindge SSC maintained their 100% winning start and moved three points clear at the top of Division1 with a 5-3 win at Folkestone United.

James Gibson ( 2), Billy Somerville, Tony Dunham and Kieran Byrne scored their goals, with Robbie Westbrook (2) and Charlie Parris netting for United.

Dion Orris bagged a hattrick as Ashford Genclik beat Horsebox Bars 4-0 at the Towers. Their other goal came from Serhat Kocabey.

Charing picked up their first three points of the season as they beat Hythe Royal British Legion 5-3.

James Fraser netted a hattrick for the hosts, with Brett Hamer and Ross Bampton also on target. Hythe replied with two goals from Dan Arnold and one from Chris Philpot.

Troggs moved up to second place in Division 2 with a 3-0 win against Hamstreet, the goals from Ben Allen (2) and Barney Burton.

Biddenden drew 3-3 with Park Farm Rangers. Goals from Harry Stow, Kieran Funnell and Morgan Waite cancelled out a brace from Adam Draper-Lewis and a Daniel Marshall strike.

South Willesboro­ugh edged Fox Sunday 4- 3. The Frog Islanders led 3-0 at half-time but allowed Fox back into the game in the second half.

Mike Norris and Lewis O’Leary both scored doubles for South Willesboro­ugh, Fox hitting back through Dan Lang, Tom Wilmshurst and Matt Bouldon.

In Division 3, Kingsnorth Pilgrims ended their unwanted run of 41 league games without a victory by thrashing Aldington Reserves 6-0.

Six different players got on the scoresheet, all netting their first goals for the club, as strikes from Brad Sharpe, Dan Bush, Courtney O’Brien, Pablo Mira,

Dan Rogers and Richard Boakes did the damage.

Ashley Sales ( 2) helped Folkestone United Reserves edge Pilgrims Sunday 4-3.

Reece Brazier and Stanley Dickson added further goals, with Yonas Tesfay, Paul Whittaker and Nathan Cook scoring for Pilgrims.

Mersham Sports Reserves defeated Charing Reserves 2-0, with goals from Adam Bellman and Craig Lang.

Jordan Osbourn scored both goals as Bromley Green Reserves jumped up three places to fourth with a 2-0 away win at Ashford United 3rds.
