Dickinson leads rout with hat-trick

Alfie Dickinson scored a hattrick for The Fountain, who defeated St Lawrence 9-0 in the Kent Cup.

The hosts were 5-0 up at halftime.

Dickinson put them ahead and the advantage was then doubled when Josh Hastings curled in a shot from 20 yards out.

Further goals followed from Seth Bunge, Dickinson and Henry Donoghue.

In the second half, Ieuan Jones made it 6-0 with a chip over the keeper, before Hastings scored again and Dickinson completed his hattrick, burying a header from a Hastings cross.

Donoghue wrapped up the scoring for Fountain with the ninth goal.

Man-of-the-match honours went to Dickinson, who scored with both his left and right feet before netting with his head.

South Willesboro­ugh reached the third round with a 2-1 win against Seal.

Paul Aston put Jake Bartlett through to finish.

A header from Ewan Stanley set up Mac Ellender who made it 2-0 before half-time. Five minutes into the second half, Ben Taylor made a poor challenge and was shown a straight red card, leaving South Willesboro­ugh to play the final 40 minutes with 10 players.

Seal pulled a goal back in the 70th minute but the home side held firm and survived until the final whistle.

Tenterden Town Reserves were beaten 3-2 at Wittersham.

Efforts from Ollie Sargeant, Fred Gill, Chris Gillam, and an own goal saw Woodchurch to a 4-2 win against

Folkestone Town.

A hat-trick from Bradley Freund helped Pilgrims to a 6-1 victory at Rolvenden. Other goals came from Steve Warren (2) and Tim Williams. Nick Stickels scored Rolvenden’s goal.
