Brews News: The Brews title ambitions took a huge dent when they suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to mid table, Stanhope & Beaver Rangers. The Referee inspected the pitch before allowing the game to go ahead, but the Brews never got to grips with the boggy and windy conditions. Josh Squires-Quinn netting the goal for John Ripley’s side and they will need to bounce back this Sunday when they travel to play Kennington.

Floods: Shottenden Road, in the vicinity of Little Guzzells was closed for two days last month presumably for the KCC to deal with regular flooding in that location. However it appears to have had no effect as the road still floods following any rain fall
Church: Almost seventy people attended last months carol service at St. Peter’s Church. The Service was opened by young Izzy Paddy singing, solo, the first verse of Once in Royal. There were eight other carols together with Lessons recited by Beryl Shilling, janet Bullock, Anne-Marie Evans, Zoe Martin, Joanna Grimshaw. Cchris. Colthup, Tony Dodd, Bob Evans and David Potter, with Geoff Jenkins leading the prayers and Bill Bullock playing the organ. Many thanks to Tierney, Tony and Harry Bell together with Sheila MacArthur and Janet Bullock for providing and serving the post service refreshment of mulled wine and mince pies. Slightly more than forty people, were at the Christmas Day Holy Communion Service conducted by the Arch Deacon of Canterbury, Jo kelly-Moore. Epistle Readings were recited by Andrew Grimshaw and David Potter. The Arch Deacon received a seasonal gift kindly donated by Anna’s Country flowers
