Turkish chain to open soon

A Turkish restaurant chain is taking over Shen’s Mediterranean Cuisine in Ashford town centre.

Aspendos, a family-run business which is already established in Folkestone and Dover, is set to open at the Bank Street spot later this month.

Work is underway to renovate the kitchen to make way for large charcoal ovens.

The site was previously run by businessman Shen Sen, who owns numerous businesses in the town centre, including the John Wallis pub in Middle Row which is set to remain permanently closed.
