No date yet for return of Eurostar

Eurostar says it doesn’t know when Kent services will resume.

The company announced on March 31 that its trains would not be stopping at Ashford International and Ebbsfleet International stations due to the Covid19 pandemic.

Though a temporary measure, more than three months have now passed and there are no signs of the service returning anytime soon.

A spokesman said: “We are currently running a minimal timetable and are monitoring demand on an ongoing basis so will continue to update our timetable to reflect this.”

For Kent travellers, a trip to London St Pancras is necessary to cross The Channel.

Eurostar tickets can be used on Southeastern trains for journeys to the London Eurostar terminal.
