Tyrone hits the target with thornback ray

Angling

- By Wesley Shrubsole

Angler Tyrone Tanner was right on target after landing a 7lb thornback ray.

He had a session at the start of the shooting ranges at Hythe, where there are lots of rays showing from most venues. A well-placed fishbait should find the angler some sport. Remember if you do not want to eat the fish, slip it back for someone else to enjoy.

Now travel restrictions have been lifted many of our region’s carp anglers are off to France in search of that fish of a lifetime! I will keep you posted on their adventures.

Both rivers Stour and Medway are producing nets of roach and bream with eels also on the feed.
