Mersham Sports made a flying start to the Premier Division season at Aldington.

They won the Old Farm derby 4-0 thanks to Harry Hunt, Jon Turley, Tom Wilson and a Tom Missing own goal.

Two late strikes from debutant Luke Burdon saw Ashford Genclik come from behind to win 2-1 at new boys Albion. Bradley Jordan gave Albion the lead after Sam Conlon met Jake North’s cross but substitute Burdon levelled before an injury-time winner from Jordan Griffin’s corner. In Division 1, debutant Bradley Freund scored as Shadoxhurs­t won 3-2 at Cheriton AFC. George Crisp and substitute Layton Bryant also scored. Appledore and Red Heathens played out a 3-3 draw.

The Smugglers hit the target through Dean Clark, Craig Bennett and Steve Tutt, with Richie Davies, Craig Hayne and Miles Wilson replying. Harry Lambourn’s hat-trick, Edward Manford-Keen, Jack Timms and Barney Maybourne saw Biddenden win 6-1 at Ashford Spartans in Division 2. Nathan Piggott replied with a stunning free-kick.

Newcomers Tenterden beat Bromley Green 4-0 via Dan Knott (2), Thomas Corden and Matthew Day.

Man-of-the-match Jordan King scored four times on his debut as Hamstreet beat Radnor Park 7-4 in a thriller.

James Bartholome­w, Ben Harte and Joe Spicer also netted, with Alex Watson,

Todd Wallis, Connor Smith and Damien Barnett hitting back. Brewmaster Reserves won their first game of men’s football 3-1 at Guildhall.

George Owen (2) and Nathan Light secured the points while James Walton replied.

Lolzers began life in Division 2 with Michael Perry’s penalty and goals from Aiden Bourne and Bradley Taffurelli in a 3-1 win over Ashford United 3rds. John Giles scored for United. Fox Sunday drew with Burton Grove. Barry Willcox’s stunner and Steve Lee put Grove in charge but Connor Samson and Jake Delgado replied. In Division 3, Craig Lang scored in a man-of-the-match display as Mersham Reserves won 5-3 at Bromley Green. Kieron Smith (2), Adam Bellman and Luke Goddard also struck, with Tyler Montgomery’s treble in vain. New-look Ashford Dynamo beat Hythe Green 2-0 thanks to Sam Buchanan’s double.

Phil Herz’s penalty and a longrange Kieran Lewis strike gave Pilgrims Sunday a 2-0 win at Charing Reserves.

Saltwood beat Park Farm Folkestone 3-2 thanks to Reuben Coventry, Joshua Gibson and Raffi Jenco.
