Bringing down the house

Johannes Radebe is back on tour with electrifying new show - House of Jojo

-

Professional dancer and lovable TV personality Johannes Radebe is giving fans a sneak peek into his home with his brand new show.

House of Jojo brings all different aspects of the Strictly star’s life, from his childhood in South Africa to his flamboyant fashion sense, together for one thrilling dance extravaganza.

The Latin and ballroom hotshot is taking the show to theatres up and down the country over the coming months, following on from his previous solo tours Freedom and Freedom Unleashed.

The 36 year old, who has also appeared on TV shows such as Celebrity MasterChef, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and the Great British Sewing Bee Christmas special, will be performing his dazzling new routines with a cast of fellow dancers.

Since joining Strictly Come Dancing as a professional in 2018, the Sasolburg-born performer has been partnered with the likes of comedian Ellie Taylor, actor Caroline Quentin and former tennis player Annabel Croft.

In 2021 he reached the final with the Great British Bake Off winner John Waite, making them the first male same-sex pairing on the show.

The couple finished as runners-up behind former EastEnders actor Rose Ayling-Ellis and her partner, Giovanni Pernice.

Johannes has also appeared in a number of stage shows as both a solo performer and as part of a group with productions such as Burn the Floor and the Strictly live tour.

It was also announced earlier this month that the performer will make his musical debut in the new touring production of Kinky Boots.

Johannes will star as drag queen Lola in the glittering show, based on music written by Cyndi Lauper, which comes to the Marlowe Theatre in June next year.

House of Jojo will feature familiar dancefloor anthems, exuberant costumes and phenomenal routines, all performed, of course, with a fab-ulous touch of flair.

Johannes Radebe is at the Orchard West Theatre on Wednesday, April 24 and the Marlowe Theatre on Tuesday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 8. Book tickets to all shows online.
