Those who grew up watching Jossy’s Giants probably now have children of their own and it’s fair to say that this series is the younger generation’s answer to Sid Waddell’s brainchild. The first run aired last year to great acclaim and the only surprise is that it’s taken so long to return. For the uninitiated, the series focuses on Jamie, a pre-teen from Nottingham who lives and breathes football. His only goal is to become a professional player, but his complicated private life may put obstacles in his way. The second series sees Jamie face his biggest challenge yet – himself. He has the skills to pay the bills, but does he have the maturity to push his personal problems to one side.
