Come and see some big cats
Deep in the Kent countryside, more than 45 wild cats are probably stretching out in the sun. Although their wild counterparts face many challenges, these big cats can relax as they are in the safe confines of the Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden, which is working on conservation breeding programmes, as well as supporting the work of many other international projects and awareness campaigns. The sanctuary’s open days are hugely popular, with the chance to see the animals, as well as enjoy archery and falconry displays, face painting and a barbecue.
This year they will be held from Thursday, July 20, to Sunday, July 23 – Saturday and Sunday have already sold out. To book tickets visit thebigcatsanctuary.org
