Award-win­ning Story Pocket Theatre bring their epic ad­ven­ture of love, chivalry and magic to the Ton­bridge theatre. Suit­able for chil­dren aged seven and over, the fast-paced story is told with sword fights, slap­stick hu­mour, pup­petry and sto­ry­telling. YOUCAN RUN! LEEDS CAS­TLE SUN­DAY, OC­TO­BER 1

Re­turn­ing to the cas­tle just out­side Maid­stone, the Youcan Run has a 5km and a 10km route, rais­ing funds to sup­port young peo­ple in Kent and the South East whose lives have been im­pacted by cancer. En­try is £15 – and un­der-18s £10 - and in­cludes a com­mem­o­ra­tive medal, T-shirt and post-run en­try to the cas­tle and grounds. FOS­SIL ROAD­SHOW MAID­STONE MU­SEUM SATUR­DAY, SEPTEM­BER 30

Take along your fos­sil finds to be iden­ti­fied by the Med­way Fos­sil and Min­eral So­ci­ety; play fos­sil games and han­dle some fas­ci­nat­ing fos­sils at the event at the mu­seum in St Faiths Street. The road­show runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm and in­cludes face paint­ing. There may be a small charge for some ac­tiv­i­ties.
