KING ARTHUR EM FORSTER THEATRE SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1

Award-winning Story Pocket Theatre bring their epic adventure of love, chivalry and magic to the Tonbridge theatre. Suitable for children aged seven and over, the fast-paced story is told with sword fights, slapstick humour, puppetry and storytelli­ng. YOUCAN RUN! LEEDS CASTLE SUNDAY, OCTOBER 1

Returning to the castle just outside Maidstone, the Youcan Run has a 5km and a 10km route, raising funds to support young people in Kent and the South East whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Entry is £15 – and under-18s £10 - and includes a commemorat­ive medal, T-shirt and post-run entry to the castle and grounds. FOSSIL ROADSHOW MAIDSTONE MUSEUM SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

Take along your fossil finds to be identified by the Medway Fossil and Mineral Society; play fossil games and handle some fascinatin­g fossils at the event at the museum in St Faiths Street. The roadshow runs from 10.30am to 3.30pm and includes face painting. There may be a small charge for some activities.
