Kentish Express Ashford & District - What's On
WIN TICKETS
Let the Assembly Hall Theatre take you on an amazing journey this Christmas - the thrilling story of a boy, a lamp and a genie, Aladdin is one of the most popular pantomimes of all. Audiences are promised a traditional show packed with comedy, slapstick, singing, dancing, beautiful costumes and plenty of audience participation, from the producers of last year's smash hit Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
HEART-THROBS AND TALENTED VOICES
Former Eastenders heart-throb MICHAEL GRECO leads the cast as Abanazar. He starred as Beppe di Marco from 1998 to 2002, and won the British Soap Award for Sexiest Male in 1999 and 2000.
On stage and screen, he took lead roles in Chicago, Exposure, Much Ado About Nothing and Kiss Me Kate, and was in BBC1’S Casualty and ITV’S reality shows Celebrity Love Island and Soap Star Superstar. Following her captivating performance in Britain’s Got Talent, JESS ROBINSON - the woman of 1,000 voices - will play the role of the Slave of the Ring. The voice of CBBC’S hit show, Horrible Histories, Jess has also voiced many TV adverts and has played the Edinburgh Fringe.
Aladdin will be played by CBBC presenter MARK RHODES, a winner of 2015’s BAFTA Children’s Award as half of Sam & Mark in CBBC’S Big Friday Wind-up, Junior Bake Off and Copycats. He has also appeared in Dancing on Ice, Celebrity Wipeout and was a runner-up in Pop Idol.
