Meet children’s mystery writer

-

Children’s author Robin Stevens will be serving up A Spoonful of Murder when she visits Bluewater this weekend.

The author will be meeting fans and signing copies of her latest book, A Spoonful of Murder, which is the latest in the Murder Most Unladylike series. When Hazel Wong’s beloved grandfather dies, Daisy Wells is all too happy to accompany her friend (and Detective Society Vice President) to Hazel’s family estate in Hong Kong.

But when they arrive they discover something they didn’t expect: there’s a new member of the Wong family – baby Teddy.

As always, though, the girls are never far from a mystery...

Robin was born in California and has been making up stories all her life. When she was 12, her father handed her a copy of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and she realised that she wanted to be either Hercule Poirot or Agatha Christie when she grew up.

Now a full-time writer, she lives in London with her pet bearded dragon, Watson. Bookseller Claire Harris said: “Robin’s books are extremely popular with budding young detectives, so we’re delighted that she’ll be visiting us.”

She will be at Waterstones in Bluewater on Sunday, February

11 at noon. Fans need to have a copy of A Spoonful of Murder to meet Robin, though the event is free.
