Dancing queens and drag divas

Let your inner popstar loose with a weekend of sing-along anthems

-

Kick off your long fourday weekend with a night of glitz, glamour and dazzling drag queens. The pop divas of Queenz are coming straight from a stellar run on the West End to theatres around the country, including a night at the Orchard West Theatre - the Orchard Theatre’s temporary home - on Good Friday.

The show-stopping variety performance features fabulous queens singing live, with a setlist of floor-fillers from the likes of Britney Spears, Whitney Houston and more. There will also be witty comedy, outrageous costumes and hair-raising wigs from the drag supergroup.

If that wasn’t pop-tastic enough for you, there’s a tribute night that might be right up your alley this Easter weekend. Mania is an homage to Swedish Eurovision superstars Abba and will include the foursome’s best-loved tunes such as the Winner Takes It All, Mamma Mia, Super Trouper and many more.

It’s been 40 years since the group topped the charts with Eurovision winner Waterloo so there couldn’t be a better time to celebrate their hits - grab your platform heels and catsuits and head to Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on Saturday, March 30 to catch the show.

Now, from Dancing Queen to the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie’s And Then There

Were None is coming to the stage.

The show, based on the bestselling crime novel of all time, follows a group of strangers who are invited to a dinner party on a remote island by a mystery host, and it’s coming to the Churchill Theatre in Bromley from Tuesday, April 2

to Saturday, April 6.

It might have been written 85 years ago, but the gripping murder mystery is still one of the best-known thrillers in the world, and the latest production stars Holby City’s Bob Barrett, The Play That Goes Wrong star Oliver Clayton, National Theatre actor Jeffrey

Kissoon and former Coronation

Street resident Andrew Lancel.

Award-winning actor and comedian Griff Rhys Jones going back to his laughtermaking roots with a new stand-up show.

The Not the Nine O'clock News star is currently giving fans a chance to see his new material as he previews the Cat’s Pyjamas, a show that covers everything from the Tiktok generation to family and nostalgia.

The 70-year-old performer, who has won two Olivier Awards for his work on stage, will be at the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone on Wednesday, April 3 and then Bromley’s Churchill Theatre on Friday, April 5.

Finally, if your kids are a fan of the TV show Bluey - and let’s face it, most kids are these days - then you can take them to see their favourite characters come to life in Bluey's Big Play.

The show, which will be at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury for four days from Thursday, April 4, is a live adaptation of the Emmy Award winning cartoon and features the whole Heeler family as life-like puppets.

The show has an original story written by Bluey creator Joe Brumm and new music from composer Joff Bush.
