Sully Gould’s unbeaten half-century eased Littlebour­ne to an eight-wicket victory against Nelson, which leaves the villagers 22 points clear at the top of Division 1A East.

Littlebour­ne won the toss and elected to put their opponents in. Shaun Loomer’s 6-31 then helped restrict Nelson to 125 all out.

In reply, opener Gould (65 not out) helped the leaders to a comfortabl­e victory within 23 overs.

Ash are now second following a six-wicket success over Street End.

Street End skipper Tom Stewart (57) was his side’s top scorer as they – playing with 10 men – set Ash a victory target of 144. Steve Laslett struck eight fours in an unbeaten 53 to secure the win.

A low- scoring match between Canterbury 3rds and Kennington was cut short by the weather.

Kennington were restricted to 92 all out after Sam Hadlow’s five overs returned figures of 5-14.

In reply, Canterbury were 39-4 when play ended.

Julian Thompson’s unbeaten century guided Whitstable 3rds to a 128-run win over Ashford Town, which leaves them top of Division 1C East.

Thompson (105 not out) built on opener Charlie Holness’ knock of 78 as Whitstable ended their 40 overs on 289-6.

Mark Blake and John Butterwort­h took two wickets each as 10-man Ashford were all out for 161 in reply.

Herne Bay 2nds captain Chris Ross (103) also scored a century to guide his side to a comfortabl­e victory against Street End 2nds .

Ross received strong support from Andrew Alder (76) as Bay made 298-6.

In reply, Street End were all out for 120 inside 26 overs.

Littlebour­ne 3rds conceded away to New Romney & Littleston­e.

Bay 1sts were also victorious in a much lower-scoring game with Margate, winning by two wickets after being set 97 runs to win.

Littlebour­ne 2nds were 84 runs shy of victory with eight wickets still in hand when their game against Nelson was stopped by the weather.

Jake Harrison (4-30) was the leading wicket taker for the villagers as they bowled Nelson out for 136.

Their reply was going well at 53-2 after 13 overs when play ended.

Sturry are second in Division 2B East after Ash 2nds conceded.
