Herne Bay slipped to seventh, three points outside the final play-off place, after their big game at home to Ramsgate had to be abandoned at half-time.

Bay’s Lee Browning and Nick Treadwell of the Rams clashed heads midway through the first-half and after Browning suffered apparent seizures in the dressing room after being substitute­d the air ambulance was called, landing on the pitch, while Treadwell was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Whitstable’s plight worsened as they went down 4-2 at Corinthian Casuals on Saturday after a late flurry of goals.

Two quick goals midway through the first half from Shaun Okojie put the hosts in charge, although Callum Wraight pulled one back for Town 19 minutes from time with his first goal since signing for the club, heading in a free-kick from Aidan Blanchard.

Okoj ie, however, completed hi s hat-trick seven minutes from time and although Blanchard set up a tense finale with a long-range second for Town with two minutes left, James Cottee added a fourth in the dying seconds to their 34th defeat in 40 games and 10th straight.

The Oystermen had fallen 1-0 to Walton Casuals on Wednesday with Jordan Cheadle’s strike for the hosts just before the half-hour proving decisive
