A brilliant ride saw Adalta CC’S Emma Lewis take first place in the Tour of Cambridge UCI Gran Fondo World Series TT.

She was presented with a UCI World Qualifiers jersey and the achievement now makes her eligible to compete in the World Championships in Australia.

Allan Robinson claimed an impressive second place at the Surrey League race at Dunsfold Park.

Mark Jeffery finished fifth in only his third outing for the club, with Matthew Jones getting in the mix and putting in some impressive early efforts.

Freya Rawlins, in her first season of competitive racing, took ninth place at the South East Regional Road Race Championships. Alicia Clifford, also a new rider, rode strongly and finished 23rd.

Craig Joy and Josh Wakeling put in strong performances at the London Nocturne, a race through the streets in the heart of the capital.

With the event only 25 minutes long, the pace was frantic from the off and both riders got away in the front group and battled for positions in the sprint finish, with Joy taking sixth place and Wakeling 10th.

Jo Smith continued her superb form, at Newport Velodrome in the women’s National Omnium Series. Smith took top three places across the day’s events to finish second overall, putting her in a good position in the series.

Ciaran O’grady put in a strong solo effort in the men’s South East Regional Road Race Championship on Sunday.

O’grady was caught in the latter stages of the race, with Ross Bryan finishing in the main bunch. The race was hectic and a major crash meant only a quarter of the starting riders crossed the finish line.

James Lane-pitcher was in Spain for the World Duathlon Championships. He finished 24th and third British athlete after an excellent performance across the two disciplines.

Conrad Mcewan rode the 305k (189.5 miles) Dragon Devil Sportive in Wales, in 12hr 13 minutes. The tough event included the climbs of Devil’s Staircase and Devil’s Elbow. Mcewan managed a 15.5mph average over the course.
