West End hit rocking up at the Marlowe

Tickets are selling fast for the Canterbury run of West End hit musical Guys and Dolls.

Gamblers, hustlers and nightclub singers will be on stage at the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, from Tuesday, June 28, until Saturday, July 2.

The show is based on colourful stories by American journalist Damon Runyon, about the Prohibitio­n era in New York.

It features some of Broadway’s greatest musical numbers, including My Time of Day, Luck Be A Lady and Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat.

The cast includes Richard Fleeshman, better known as Coronation Street’s Craig Harris, who will be playing Sky Masterson.

His theatre credits include Legally Blonde at the Savoy Theatre and Ghost The Musical at Piccadilly Theatre and on Broadway.

Maxwell Caulfield will be starring as Nathan Detroit alongside Fleeshman.

He has starred in several long-running television series, including Emmerdale and Casualty, as well as appearing in hit US shows Modern Family and NCIS.

Recording artist Louise Dearman has an extensive list of theatre credits in Wicked, Grease and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolo­ur Dreamcoat. She will play Adelaide.

The performanc­es will be at 7.30pm each night with matinees at 2.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Tickets range from
