Herne Bay rider Jonathan Parker took the win at the Sussex CA 50 mile TT on the G50/10 but not without some drama along the way.

Parker said: “It was a day of mixed fortunes. I crashed and tore my skinsuit, overshoes and calf guards and gave my back a pretty firm clout, but I won the TT by over threeand-a-half minutes.

“It’s a bit of a shame that the crash cost me the course record, but I’m still chuffed with the win on a tough and lumpy course in windy conditions. Thankfully the bike is okay except for a few scratches.”
