Dyslexic boy’s writing prize
A Canterbury pupil is celebrating success in a national writing competition – despite being dyslexic.
A story by Bradley Goldsack, 13, was shortlisted from 1,000 entries in the BIC Creative Writing Competition, which aims to encourage the art of handwriting.
Called A World Without Words, it was aimed at 12 to 15-year-olds.
Bradley’s English teacher at Canterbury High School, Gina Pretlove, said: “This was particularly brilliant news as Bradley has dyslexia, which means he struggles with his written responses.”
