Give some honest feedback to NHS

-

It is a rarity that health bosses put their hands up and admit failure but this week Dr Sarah Phillips from the Canterbury and Coastal Clinical Commissioning Group confessed many of the trust’s services were unable to deliver expected standards of care.

We all knew it deep down but it is a wake-up call that we are at a critical point in the NHS when health bosses themselves start describing the dire state of their services – 15% of patients waiting more than four hours in A&E and an increase of people waiting more than two weeks for an urgent cancer referral are just some of the worrying facts unveiled in the new report.

This report and the facts and figures inside it affect us all and we should be aware that, whether we like it or not, things are changing and the shift has only just begun.

Services are being moved into the community and it could be that we wave goodbye to our larger hospitals in the future, but this is just one of the many changes we must be prepared for.

There is no better time to voice your concerns, ideas and what the NHS means to you so we urge you to get involved with local health groups which feed information back to the top dogs.

We all rant about the NHS when with friends and family, but maybe your thoughts and ideas could go a long way in shaping the future of our healthcare.
