Woman cut free from her car

A woman in her early 20s was cut free from her car after a crash on a village lane on Tuesday evening.

Fire crews were called to a twocar accident in South Street, Boughton under Blean, between Canterbury and Faversham.

They found a man and woman both in their early 20s trapped in one of the cars.

The man was eventually helped out of the vehicle by crews and paramedics, but the woman had to be cut free.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of the vehicle before she was taken to hospital.

Earlier the same day a motor- cyclist was injured in a crash in Lydden Hill.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene near the junction of Swanton Lane at 4.20pm after the crash between a motorbike and a car.

The biker was taken to hospital with injuries not reported to be serious.
