Rape charge

A man has been charged with rape after an alleged incident in Ramsgate. Shershah Muslimyar, 20, of Hovenden Close, Canterbury, was charged on September 23 and appeared at Canterbury Magistrates’ Court on September 24. Muslimyar was remanded in custody and will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on October 24. The attack is said to have taken place at an address in the Northwood Road area on September 18. A 37-year-old man from Ramsgate and an 18-yearold man from Margate were also arrested on Sunday on suspicion of rape. They have been bailed until October 11.
