Two blazes in the early hours
Firefighters were called to tackle a car blaze on a driveway.
The Mercedes caught fire at Denstead Lane, Chartham Hatch, at about 12.30am last Friday .
Two fire engines from the Canterbury station were called out and crews were at there for an hour.
The car is a write-off. The cause of the blaze is unknown.
Later that morning, at 5.30am, Canterbury firefighters were called out to tackle a blaze at a British Heart Foundation recycling bin outside the city’s Morrisons store. The cause of that blaze is also not yet confirmed.
