Oven fire

-

A woman was treated by medics after the oven in her Canterbury flat caught fire.

Firefighters were called to the first floor flat at Drying Shed Lane in the Tannery at just after 5pm. A neighbour had put the fire with a fire extinguisher.

The woman whose flat it was received oxygen therapy for the effects of breathing in smoke. Fire crews left the scene after about 20 minutes.

The building is opposite the one in Creine Mill Lane North which suffered a huge blaze in July last year.
