Relationship with victim
Christian revealed that he had been in a brief relationship with Natasha Sadler-ellis in the summer of 2015, which he insists ended amicably.
He said he had lived at the Dickens Avenue house for seven years and said there had been arguments between the tenants, but nothing until serious until Simon Gorecki moved in.
Afterwards, he said there was drinking every day. “When they are drinking the best thing to do is stay in your room and keep out of the way,” he said.
Four days before the killings – Good Friday of this year – Christian told the court he had come home and found beer all over his food in the fridge, which he claimed happened often
Miss Sadler-ellis, Mr Goreki and another man, Terry Humphrys, were at the house.
Christian believed the trio were throwing his bike about and went down to confront them and ended up in a fight with Mr Gorecki.
