The Canterbury Society is holding a public meeting to discuss the proposal for an east Kent super-council.
Canterbury is considering a merger with the councils in Ashford, Shepway, Thanet and Dover as a way of reducing costs and streamlining services.
City council leader Simon Cook and Ray Evison, chairman of the Kent Association of Local Councils, will be among the principle speakers, but attendees will also have the chance to speak.
The meeting takes place at St Peter’s Methodist Church Hall at 7.30pm on Wednesday, November 9.
