Going potty over pottery
BBC television’s popular Great Pottery Throwdown had been rekindled in Canterbury as part of the city’s arts and music festival.
Called the Canterbury Throwdown, hundreds of people are enjoying having a go at pottery, with the help of expert volunteers.
The project has been organised by the Lilford Gallery and potter Cherry Tewfik, and was opened last week by Keith Brymer Jones, who is one of the judges from the popular BBC show.
The free workshops are being held at 24 Sun Street from 10am until 4pm every day until October 29.
