Singers reach national final
Two Canterbury Cathedral singers have made the final of the BBC Radio 2 Young Choristers of the Year competition.
Oliver Futcher and Joseph Henry are among just four boys and four girls who will perform at Manchester Cathedral for the title on Monday.
It has been a big month for the choir generally, having sung in front of the Pope at a special service in Rome, also attended by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
The 21 boys and 12 adult members had the honour of joining the Sistine Chapel Choir as part of a celebration of 50 years of the Anglican Centre in Rome.
Canterbury Cathedral is looking to award substantial scholarships to boys, aged seven or eight, who would like to join the choir in September 2017.
