The FIA World Rallycross Championship will return to Lydden Hill next spring, it has been announced. Series bosses revealed their draft calendar for the championship this week, including a visit to Kent on May 27-28. The event – which will form round five of next year’s series – will feature the headlining World Championship for Supercars, as well as the renamed RX2 and Touring Car support categories. Swede Mattias Ekstrom – who claimed the 2016 championship at Germany on Sunday – won the Lydden event in front of a record crowd this year. For details, visit www.lyddenhill.co.uk
