Premier Division leaders Iron Room A were given probably their toughest match of the season at Hoath B but came through 7-2 winners. Six of the nine singles games went to five legs but Ray Jordan proved invincible on the night with three wins to inspire victory. Hoath C hosted a resilient Heron A in another close contest, which Hoath just edged 5-4. Hoath’s Mike Howard was unbeaten on the night and Clive Hollingsbee added two more. Chestfield Warriors 1 climbed off the foot of the table with a 6-3 win over mid-table opponents Herne Bay B. Ian Cooke led the way for the Warriors, winning all his games, with Paul Waumsley adding a double. Lowly Choughs B lost 8-1 at second-placed Bay C in Division 1 with a clean treble by Bob Edwards and three wins for Mick Micklethwaite. Leaders Warriors 3 pipped club-mates Warriors 2 5-4 despite Paul Whittaker maintaining his 100% record with three clean wins. With an 8-1 win over a visiting Iron Room C, Faversham B climbed to third, a point behind Bay C, with Tina Stewart (3) and Callum Mcdonagh (3) unbeatable. Warriors 5 continued their steady climb up Division 2 with a 6-3 away win over hosts Bay G with John Metcalfe winning all three for the visitors. Choughs C surprised hosts Warriors 7 by winning the first four singles games but the Warriors staged a superb comeback to win 5-4. Leaders Warriors 12 swept aside Blean C 9-0 in Division 3 with brothers Lewis and George Marsh, with Rowan Brough, winning all their games. Bay I were also whitewashed 9-0 at home by Warriors 8 who went second on the back of three wins each for Dave Hanson, Bill Hackney and Caroline Hanson. Bay J edged visiting Warriors 11 5-4 despite Stuart Murray-williams earning an unbeaten treble. Unbeaten Division 4 leaders Bay L won 4-1 away at third placed Warriors 19 to extend their lead at the top to seven points. Warriors 14 saw their 100% record threatened by Warriors 18 but won the club derby 3-2 with an unbeaten Ricky Kay Jnr leading the way.
